MemCare Radio is a great source for radio clips on a variety of topics for people in ministry overseas, including re-entry for TCKs.

Documents

We’re Going Home: Reentry for Elementary Children by Ron & Bonnie Koteskey - This download also includes I Don’t Want to Go Home: Parent’s Guide for Reentry for Elementary Children. Written at a third-grade level, We’re Going Home includes the story of a family returning to its passport culture. Each chapter also has activities such as scrambled words, crossword puzzles, word searches, mazes, and codes. Ron also wrote I Don’t Want to Go Home (54 pages) as a companion volume for parents. Each chapter in the parent’s book has information about TCKs in the Bible, children’s TCK issues today, and suggestions to help children reenter well. Both books are included in the file to be downloaded above. Also available at the site in versions for Kindles, Nooks, Sony eReaders, MS Word files and a .zip archive.

Courses

Kids in Transition (ICC for Children Course) - This online module is a virtual version of the lessons and activities given to children during the childcare portion of the Intercultural Communications Course (ICC), designed to help families with children talk about upcoming transitions.

According To My Passport, I’m Coming Home by Kay Branaman Eakin - This is the full book written from a U.S. perspective so only parts of it may be relevant to students re-entering other passport cultures.

Changing Zip Codes - The author of this website is very experienced in moving (22 moves in the US) and offers some helpful insights to help those moving to cling to their faith during times of change. Although her experiences have all been domestic moves, her suggestions and insights are easily transferable for international moves.

The Outsider Inside: When TCK’s Go To School “Back Home” by Joy Ashford Lewis - This focuses on American Culture, but those from other cultures can relate. The comments are as good as the article, as various TCKs share the struggles they had returning to their passport culture.

Rocky Re-entry - This resource is aimed at adult repatriation to the US. This blog contains experiences from others who have already transitioned in hopes that their experiences will provide encouragement to others.
